Dynamic Shading Realises Maximum Energy Saving Potential

Energy Saving

Reduce Energy, Save Money, Cut Emissions. By insulating the transparent parts of buildings, our exterior solar shading solutions reduce the energy demand on the installed cooling and heating units, resulting in lower energy bills and CO2 emissions.

Air conditioning is one of the largest energy consumers and is responsible for vast quantities of unnecessary CO2 emissions every year. Increasing pressure and legislation from government, along with corporate social responsibility is driving to conserve the use of fuel and power.

External solar shading is the most effective way to prevent the entry of excessive solar heat gain into a building. By creating a physical barrier between the sun and glazing upto 99.9% of the suns heat element is absorbed and reflected, creating a cool, comfortable, naturally air conditioned internal environment.

In fact, appropriately sized and positioned exterior blinds can reduce interior room temperatures by more than 10°c on the hottest summers day and reduce the energy consumption otherwise needed to cool down a hot room by more than 80%. And even better still the cost of adding external solar shading can be offset by minimising or avoiding the need for air conditioning.

We are the only exterior blind supplier in the UK to have had all our fabrics independently tested to show their eco-credentials. Take a look at our online fabric selector, choose the glazing type and see how well the chosen fabric controls solar gain, light levels and additionally how well it will help to keep heat in a building during colder days/months.
