Air conditioning is one of the largest energy consumers and is responsible for vast quantities of unnecessary CO2 emissions every year. Increasing pressure and legislation from government, along with corporate social responsibility is driving to conserve the use of fuel and power.

External solar shading is the most effective way to prevent the entry of excessive solar heat gain into a building. By creating a physical barrier between the sun and glazing upto 99.9% of the suns heat element is absorbed and reflected, creating a cool, comfortable, naturally air conditioned internal environment. 

In fact, appropriately sized and positioned exterior blinds can reduce interior room temperatures by more than 10°c on the hottest summers day and reduce the energy consumption otherwise needed to cool down a hot room by more than 80%. And even better still the cost of adding external solar shading can be offset by minimising or avoiding the need for air conditioning.
