Forecasters Warn 2015 Could Be A Record-Breaking Year

Monday's Daily Mail reported how temperatures in June were the highest ever recorded globally, with the most substantial increase observed in Spain, Austria, parts of Asia, Australia and South America. In fact, the first six months of 2015 measured one-sixth of a degree warmer than the previous 2010 global record.

This map highlights how each continent experienced warmer than average temperatures throughout June.

Whilst this may not sound like a considerable increase, scientists insist greenhouse gases are trapping more heat in the Earth's atmosphere than ever before, subsequently causing average temperatures to rise on a global scale.

What’s more, forecasters have predicted that the entirety of 2015 is set to be a record-breaking year with experts explaining, 'this is the third month this year that we've broken the monthly record.'

Whilst the majority of us eagerly anticipate the warmer weather and the opportunity to bask in the sun's rays, these rising temperatures can have negative implications for both humans and the environment. And essentially the warmer it becomes, the more severe these repercussions, such as heat exhaustion, heat stroke and an increased level of discomfort.

Having said this, by undertaking the correct precautions, it’s possible to stay cool and comfortable in the rising climate of today and the foreseeable future. For example, this warmer weather reinforces the demand for cooling applications for properties prone to over-heating.

An External Roller Blind installation in Surrey.

One way this ventilation effect can be effectively achieved is through the installation of External Shading Solutions. Our External Roller Blinds provide a comfortable atmosphere by creating a physical barrier to the sun’s energy, effectively regulating solar heat and UV rays. By blocking up to 96% of the sun’s incoming solar heat radiation, an interior air conditioning effect is formed, keeping your property cool and comfortable on even the hottest of days.

Furthermore, our External Shading Solutions do not emit any CO2 related emissions, so they provide an innovative and eco-friendly solution in the fight against Climate Change.
