Sunis Sensor Temporarily Unavailable

Stock unavailable until end of January 2014

We have just been notified by Somfy (the world leader in motors and controls for exterior blinds), that their Sunis sun sensor, commonly used in conjunction with the Eolis 3d wirefree wind vibration sensor on patio awnings, will not be available until the end of January 2014 due to the shortage of a key component part.

The Sunis sensor is an autonomous sun sensor that can be conveniently located in the most appropriate location on the façade as it is completely wirefree, providing the automatic extension of a patio awning or any type of exterior blind when a set light level is reached along with the automatic retraction of the product when the light level has dropped below the set threshold for a pre-set period of time.

Throughout 2013 we have noticed an increased demand for this sensor, which is most likely the same across Europe, hence the component part shortage as demand outstrips supply. For customers wishing to have this sensor installed to automatically extend their patio awning, it is possible to add the sensor to the installation at a later stage (when it becomes available) as it is entirely separate from the blind system itself.

We will notify all dealers via this blog when we have received our reserved stocks from Somfy in our UK production facility which hopefully will be before the current estimated delivery date of end of January 2014.
