Caribbean Blinds’ dedicated installer training academy: delivering excellence
At Caribbean Blinds, we are dedicated to delivering the best external shading solutions across the UK. We take pride in what we do and want to ensure ambitious installers feel confident working with our louvered pergolas. To help, we have built our own installer academy which offers real hands on training on how to correctly survey, install, adjust and commission our external shading systems.
All training is held at our head office in Sudbury, Suffolk, and will be carried out by our senior technician who knows the louvered pergolas inside and out.

How long does it typically take to install a Caribbean Blinds' pergola?
Installation time varies depending on the final specification of the pergola including size & options (lighting, heating, side screens), however, on average our pergolas are installed in just a single day. During production, our team prepare the structure for installation including inserting all the pins in the louvers, drainage in the nominated posts etc. to minimise your time on site and ensure a seamless installation process.

What accessories are available for your pergolas?
Each pergola within our range comes with various accessories including everything from an optional lighting system to infra-red heating and windproof screens so our customers can create the perfect ambient conditions to accommodate their needs.

How do I ensure proper drainage for pergolas?
To make this as simple as possible, all our pergolas have been manufactured to include integrated drainage systems. Concealed within the cross beams, the guttering connects to downpipes within the nominated post uprights for effective water drainage from the roof. No additional work is required on site, as the drainage has been prepared during production.

What base is required to support the pergola?
A typical pergola weighs 400-500kg and requires a sturdy base for attachment to, with our recommendation being a concrete pad to guarantee a secure mounting and attachment. It is also possible to install our pergolas on top of an existing patio providing it is solid.
