The BBSA (British Blind & Shutter Association) Show, is the only UK trade exhibition for anyone involved in manufacturing, selling and installing interior and exterior shading devices including blinds, shutters and awnings along with associated machinery.
The last show, due to the pandemic was back in 2018 so there was a huge desire by both suppliers to the trade and retailers/installers for the event, to showcase and discover new novelties, meet and network and see where the industry is heading.
Over the course of 3 days from 23rd – 25th October, a record number of more than 4,000 visitors, both retailers and installers, visited the event to discover the latest products and innovations from over 60 exhibitors who invested an estimated £10m at the show, along with discover a comprehensive seminar programme which featured a Q&A session with Grand Designs Kevin McCloud. 
As the leading supplier of external shading systems to the trade and headline sponsor of the event, we were proud to showcase our entire range of external shading systems to both existing and new trade partners, which included our newly introduced Dominica external blind, recently shortlisted for three innovation awards and our award-winning Classic Pod. It was a great opportunity to meet dealers face to face, many who we had not had an opportunity to previously due to the covid crisis and discuss what we are doing to drive the industry forward including our industry beating 2 week manufacture lead-time and help them maximise sales over the coming years along with showcase the superior features and benefits of our products. 
Our Managing Director Stuart, was also a keynote speaker in the comprehensive seminar programme, talking about ‘The time is now for external shading’ providing a cohesive look at the catalysts for growth in the market, the size of the opportunity and why CB is leading the way. This was topped off with an exclusive exhibitor drinks reception on day 2 of the event on the CB stand, to celebrate the company turning 35 years old and provided a great opportunity for networking and informal discussion. 
The next event takes place in 2024 and CB have already signed up for the show, with many exciting new products in the pipeline which we will showcase on an entirely new, larger stand totalling more than 100m2.
