Improving an Outdoor Living Space with a Patio Awning

After receiving images from our installers of the final finish we quickly got in contact with the clients to request a visit for a closer look at the newly fitted Cuba Patio Awning integrated into their stunning garden layout. Everything about the exterior design of this property stood out and it really portrays the traits of a modern country home in Suffolk, we are pleased to have been able to add the cherry on top with our stylish sun awning.

A red-brick house features a large patio with chairs under a retractable awning. The setting includes neatly trimmed grass and surrounding trees. Text reads "Caribbean Blinds UK Ltd."
Twin Cuba Awnings provide flexible shade and shelter to the single storey elevation of a new build property.

This exquisite family home is situated in the heart of Suffolk surrounded by colourful countryside with bird songs laying the soundtrack to this peaceful setting. It’s no wonder the clients were looking for a shading solution to complete the experience, this garden needs to be enjoyed and our contemporary electric awning was the ideal fit that suited their needs and coincided with their existing design layout.

Our experienced surveyor worked closely with the clients to understand their needs to then come up with a viable shading solution that would fulfil the purpose of shading their outdoor dining area and minimising the rising internal room temperatures – see our solar shading guide for more information. With the garden catching a lot of the sun our team constructed a bespoke retractable awning measuring 3.8m wide and a maximum projection of 3.75m. This will cover a substantial amount of their patio terrace to provide a sufficient amount of shading over their alfresco dinning set whilst keeping the glazed patio doors cool to reduce the impact of solar heat gain.

The sleek modern awning cassette hardware is finished in a classic white colour (RAL 9016) with a great fabric choice to compliment the overall design of the awning and the home & garden. The client’s selection of the Chalk fabric (385 110) from our 3D Surface Sattler collection added an elegant soft touch that is in keeping with the rest of the gardens colourways to create a homely and inviting garden to be desired. The beige and brown stripes combined with the 3D textured element created a unique feel that harmonises the home with the garden and surrounding countryside.

A really impressive project that truly reflects how much an awning can do in terms of design aesthetics and practicality.
