The Brief
Set in a coastal location, our client wanted to create a comfortable outdoor seating area that could be enjoyed throughout the day, without compromising the clean architectural lines of the property. The solution had to offer reliable performance in breezy coastal conditions and enhance both daytime comfort and evening ambience.
The Solution
We specified our Cuba Patio Awning, engineered to deliver robust shade and shelter while maintaining a sleek, minimalist appearance due to its rectangular flush fitting cassette casing.
The awning was colour co-ordinated to match the façade, ensuring that when retracted, it blends almost invisibly into the building, preserving the aesthetic while adding functionality only when needed.
To extend usability beyond daylight hours, integrated dimmable LED lighting was included, that allows the space to transition effortlessly from bright daytime shade to a warm, ambient evening setting.

- Marine-grade powder coating as standard provides enhanced protection against salt-laden air, ensuring long-term durability
- 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric prevents fading, stretching, warping, or tearing because the colour runs through to the core and acrylic is dimensionally stable
- Quad cable spring tensioned arms deliver exceptional strength and stability, tested to Beaufort 6 (31mph winds), ensuring performance even in challenging coastal conditions.
Installation
As with all Caribbean installations, this project was completed by our own expert fitting team, ensuring precision and care at every stage. A full-width concealed fixing plate was used to distribute loads evenly, combined with a high-performance epoxy resin and M10 stud fixing system to create a secure, stress-free anchorage. Installation was completed in just one day, with minimal disruption to the client.
