Caribbean Blinds to Install a Louvered Roof for JD Wetherspoon

We are pleased to announce that British pub chain JD Wetherspoon, founded in 1979, are introducing our award winning Outdoor Living Pod into their latest terrace design. Typically giant fabric parasols / umbrellas have been installed to their outdoor areas to provide sun and rain shower protection for their patrons, however, the desire to use the outdoor space 365 days as an extension to the main bar / dining area, coupled with the entirely unpredictable weather which can change instantly from sunny to strong winds / driving rain to snow and back again, has meant parasols / umbrellas are no longer suitable for their requirements.

The Outdoor Living Pod which features a unique and superstrong opening / closing louvered roof is entirely constructed from aluminium hardware with stainless steel components, materials that are corrosion resistant, durable and can last a lifetime. Additionally concealed screens within the cross members to the sides lower when required to prevent driving wind / rain and integrated lighting / heating instanly provide warmth and light when the chill / dark sets in. All this makes the Outdoor Living Pod the ideal solution for hospitality establishments wishing to profit from their outdoor space – like an extension but not, a true alfresco drinking / dining space that can be used irrespective of the weather, even in snow.

The first installation will take place at the new JD Wetherspoon in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, which is due for completion early in 2014, following which we will post photos of the Outdoor Living Pod installation on here along with our main website.
