Louvered Roof Enhancements

Outdoor Living Pod Louvered Roof Pergola Canopy

Since launching the first louvered roof to the UK back in 2011 under the name ‘Outdoor Living Pod’, we have continued to develop and evolve the system, continuing to set it far apart from the alternate louvered roofs now being imported into the UK.

Over the 2016 summer period we have phased in several new standard features to the system:Outdoor Living Pod Features

(1) The structure cross beam has increased in height from 21cm to 23cm, making it possible to build larger modules, upto 7m x 4m or 6m x 4.5m in a single unit.

(2) Square posts even with screens – if the Outdoor Living Pod is equipped with screens (2 or more) the screen channels that attach to the uprights come in 2 sizes (depth) ensuring the upright remains square (156mm)

(3) Where the extruded internal aluminium gutters meet in the corner of the structure, the corner sections are now made from cast ally, colour co-ordinated to match the structure framework

(4) Leaf guards are now set where the gutters meet in the corners, preventing any leafs/large debris running into the vertical downpipe contained within the main post uprights, ensuring no clogs or problems with water evacuation, with the build up of leaves/debris easily removed from the gutters when the structure is maintained

(5) The gutters along both the width and depth of the structure have increased in height (50mm) to allow a greater capacity of water

(6) The water evacuation outlet in the corner gutter sections has increased in size ensuring a quicker flow of water out the gutters into the downpipes

And finally, the most major update is it is now possible to have the uprights positioned inset upto 2m from the corner of the structure (with a maximum of the 1/3rd length of the structure).

If you’re looking for a louvered roof covering to your terrace, there really is only one system to consider – the Outdoor Living Pod from Caribbean Blinds – the original louvered roof, with a host of finishing touches and features that make it a cut above the rest.
