Our MD Makes Suffolks Top 100 List

We are thrilled to announce that our Managing Director, Stuart Dantzic, has been selected as one of the most influential people in Suffolk as part of the Suffolk 100 – 2022.

Suffolk 100 is a collection of one hundred individuals who have made a difference and are influential in the commercial, community or cultural life of the county. It is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the people who are significantly contributing to the energy, vibrancy and success of Suffolk.

The last time the list was produced was in 2017 so there was an excitement in the air to see which new names and faces would be added. After a process of public and private nominations followed by a judging process the panel included Stuart in the top 100.

Stuart commented: “Being the MD of Caribbean Blinds is so much more than just focussing on the growth and success of the business. We are also part of an amazing community so where we can, we get involved and support it. This includes our sponsorship of AFC Sudbury, which is a club for the town of Sudbury, from grass roots up and we are proud to be behind them and part of the journey.

We also recruit from the county and have big plans for later this year as we await the completion of a 10,000 sq/ft expansion of our factory site in Sudbury. By more than doubling our current storage capacity, we will not only be able to increase productivity whilst keeping lead times short but employ more people locally for the manufacture and assembly of our bespoke products.

To have not only been nominated for, but then selected as one of the Suffolk 100 is such an honour for me and my family but also for the entire team who are very much my extended family and part of this community.”

This crown comes after Caribbean Blinds finished 2021, taking home the title of ‘Scale Up Business of the Year’ at the Suffolk Business Awards and winning for the second year running at the national Real Homes Awards in The Great Outdoors category with our hugely popular Cuba Awning being crowned ‘The Best of the Best’ against stiff competition.
