During the summer we went and visited our lovely clients in the little scenic village of Lavenham, only a stone’s throw from our Head Office in Sudbury. It’s always great to install our British manufactured shading solutions in our local community and this project was particularly interesting because of its bespoke elements, which is why we had to send our Digital Team over to photograph them.
Our clients were in need of a shading solution to reduce the amount of light that was entering their home as this was causing an uncomfortable temperature during hot summer days. They also wanted something that would provide shade for their patio as they spent the majority of their time outside. A garden awning was the sure solution for their requirements but the building design was causing complications.
Simply fixing an awning to the façade of a single storey building can often lead to damage causing issues, this is something that can be avoided with the right company to lead you through a safe and secure process, taking into consideration the structural elements of the building to design an outdoor awning that will fix firmly.
Our experienced surveyors were able to assess the building structure on site and talk through with the clients in detail about the process and solutions needed to overcome the buildings obstacles. Our team were able to design and build bespoke spreader brackets to distribute the weight of the awnings to alleviate the facade from the pressure, making it safe and secure. On the far right side of the building there was not enough space for the patio awning cassette to fix to so our team designed a bespoke cantilever bracket that goes around the gutter leaving the electric awning suspended.
