Bespoke Design Process for Blinds & Awnings – Caribbean Blinds

The Bespoke Design Process for Our Blinds & Awnings

When we work with you to design bespoke blinds or awnings we want the process to be as simple and transparent as possible. It’s only by doing this that we can provide the best service and a premium product. We think our design process is the best because we do things differently. Other companies might employ sales people to go out and sell a product rather than to advise. With Caribbean Blinds, you get expert knowledge and experience – without feeling obligated to buy.

No Obligation Surveyor Consultation

At the start of the design process one of our surveyors will visit you on site (or in your office if the property is not built yet). All of our surveyors are ex-installers, not sales people. They do not work on commission, and only want to share their in-depth product knowledge and understanding. The surveyor will be there to discuss technical elements with you, including fitting solutions. They’ll think of every little detail - even the ones that you might not have considered before. We always deliver on everything that the surveyor has said. After your meeting, the surveyor will send your details to our main office and then a formal guide price will be provided, based on the solution required.

Colourways and Swatches

We’ve got all of our fabric colours online, but there’s nothing quite like seeing things in the flesh. The surveyor will bring along physical samples of all the products (hardware and fabrics) so that you can touch and feel the products and see what they would look like against your building, and with sunlight, rain, or shadows on it.

Providing Rough Measurements

We will ask you for rough measurements so that we can advise on cost and on the right solution for you. Even if our price is too high for you, you will still have been advised on the right solution, so you won’t end up with something that won’t work. We do this before the surveyor gets there so they don’t have to make on the spot decisions and you won’t feel uncomfortable if you hear a price you hadn’t bargained for. We do this to give you time to make the right decisions and then we support you to find the right solution and aesthetic.

Blinds and Awnings for Any Property

We are experienced in designing blinds and awnings for a range of buildings – from domestic properties to restaurants, office buildings, and hotels. We’ve seen every property style and complication that you can imagine so you can be assured that your design will be ideal for your requirements.

The Design Process for Architects & Interior Designers

The design process is virtually identical for an architect or interior designer. You will send us the plan of what you’re hoping to achieve, then we come back with solutions. Depending on the size of the project we’ll have meetings with you, either on site or in your offices. When the project goes into the construction stage we then deal with the main contractor and once we’re appointed we’ll do a survey and then issue a formal quote to the main contractor or potentially to the end customer if they’ve been recommended to us by their interior designer. The end customer can choose any colour combination they want for their blinds, and we can provide advice based on their requirements. If you’d like to hear more about our design process, then please call us today.
