Caribbean Blinds shortlisted in all five BBSA Award categories!

We’re thrilled to announce that Caribbean Blinds has been shortlisted in all five categories we entered at the 2026 BBSA Excellence Awards. It’s a proud moment for the team and a great recognition of the work we do across design, technical delivery and customer experience.

The BBSA Awards are widely seen as the industry benchmark for quality, innovation and best practice in blinds, shading and outdoor living. Being recognised across product development, installation, marketing, showroom design and collaborative working shows the full breadth of what we bring to every project.

One of our standout entries is the Grillo Pergola, developed in partnership with outdoor kitchen specialists Grillo. Launched in June 2025, it offers shelter and shading for year-round outdoor cooking, complementing their modular kitchens. Around 20 per cent of new Grillo kitchen installations now include a pergola. Every detail was tested and refined, from motorised roof louvres to drainage, to make sure it looks great, works reliably and fits naturally into a variety of gardens.

Two of our entries highlight technically challenging residential shading projects. The first, in Suffolk, created a flexible, all-season garden space using connected Deluxe and Deluxe-Plus Pods.

The second involved a full-width veranda with blinds up to six metres wide, integrated with a smart-control system. Both projects demanded precise engineering, careful planning and attention to design, showing what can be achieved when technical skill meets creativity.

Our Dream Gardens showsite in Sudbury has also been shortlisted for Best Independent Showroom. It’s a 2,500 sq ft space designed for homeowners and trade partners to experience our shading systems in real-life conditions. Five show gardens demonstrate different uses, from outdoor cooking to family spaces, each showing louvres, screens, heating and lighting in action. Seeing these systems working in context helps visitors understand what works best for their own spaces.

Modern outdoor seating areas sit beneath metal pergolas, featuring wicker chairs and tables. Surrounded by greenery and wooden panels, they occupy a neatly landscaped garden with vibrant grass and trees.

Finally, our marketing programme aimed at design-aware homeowners has been recognised. Through a carefully planned influencer event at Ridgeview Wine Estate, we showcased our Outdoor Living Pods in a setting that felt authentic and inspiring, generating content that reached the right audience and showed the real lifestyle benefits of our shading solutions.

Stuart Dantzic, our Managing Director, said: “Being shortlisted in every category we entered is something the whole team is rightly proud of. The BBSA Awards set a high bar, and this recognition reflects the depth of thinking, design and delivery that goes into everything we do.”

Winners will be announced at the BBSA Awards Gala on 7 March 2026. For now, we’re celebrating a strong showing that demonstrates the quality, creativity and ambition that drives Caribbean Blinds.
