Case Study: Bancroft Lee Landscapes

A modern, open outdoor kitchen with a counter and chairs hosts a dining area with a table and chairs. This space is surrounded by lush greenery and blooming lavender plants.

A fully weatherproof ‘sunken’ seating area within a multi-zoned open plan residential garden was the vision for a family from Cheshire who recently had their garden landscaped to include an outdoor kitchen, dining space and separate entertaining area.

Our trade partner and landscape professionals, Bancroft Lee Landscapes, saw the opportunity to add one of our luxury louvered roof pergolas – branded the Outdoor Living Pod™ – above the seating area, successfully complementing the stunning landscaped garden and creating an ideal space for the client to relax in, all year round.

Outdoor seating area features a modern pergola with gray cushions and a round fire pit. Plants and flowers add greenery, with a brick wall and house visible in the background.

The ‘Deluxe’ model of the Outdoor Living Pod™ was selected due to its flexibility – in particular the ability to incorporate additional uprights – which gave the project a more streamlined look, whilst the integrated side screens, lighting and infra-red heating will give the client the ability to control the elements, 365 days a year.

Sam Bancroft, Director at Bancroft Lee Landscapes commented: “Having worked as subcontractors for this project, we suggested installing the Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod™ over the sunken seating area that we had built initially. After showing the client images of previous installations, they chose the colour and materials for the structure before sign-off.

Terraced garden features manicured plants and outdoor seating, surrounded by open countryside. A modern pergola covers a cozy seating area, framed by lush greenery and overlooking a spacious lawn.

“The quality of the Outdoor Living Pod™ is outstanding, with every little detail having been considered, including hidden fixings, integrated cabling and guttering. The product has completely changed the already amazing space, giving it a real focal point. We installed blinds, lighting and heating within the Pod™, meaning it can be used all year round. Both Bancroft Lee Landscapes and the client are extremely happy with the outcome, and we hope to include many more Pods™ in our future designs.”
