Enhancing a Modern Home with Our Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod

BlogEvery Spring/Summer season our creative team make special arrangements to visit some of our clients across the country to capture their stunning home or garden transformations so that we can inspire our future clients on how they too can make the most of their home & garden with our innovative external shading solutions.

To start the 2020 season photoshoots off we went over to a local client in Bures, Suffolk, a 12 minute drive from our Headquarters in Sudbury who had our award winning Deluxe Outdoor Living Pod™ installed just before the lockdown.

This newly built modern home, features large glazed windows and doors to the south facing garden that blur the boundaries from inside to out, creating an open, airy feel. Sat on one of the highest points in the village, the property benefits from breath-taking scenic views. The pleasant garden was designed in a simplistic way with a large patio stretching across the width of the home and flowerpots elegantly decorating and adding a pop of colour to the space along with ornaments adding interest. BlogOur pergola has been installed as a lean-to structure, abutting the property to the main living space so when the bi-fold doors are opened, the two spaces are unified and a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors is provided. The modern grey framed aluminium design of the structure integrates perfectly with the property, co-ordinating with the windows and doors whilst also providing a low maintenance solution to match the rest of the garden.

The automated opening and closing all-weather louvered roof of the canopy not only allows the clients to provide the perfect setting on their terrace, prolonging their time spent outside enabling them to reap the  full health benefits of the natural outdoors but also prevents the indoor space from overheating during the warmer Summer months along with offering sufficient glare and UV protection, preventing their fixtures and furnishings from bleaching. Outdoor Living Pod in BuresIntegrated weather-poof side screens offer additional protection too, eliminating driving winds and rain, along with providing shade from low level sunlight, an important feature due to the exposed, south facing location, further enhancing the use and enjoyment from the terrace for our clients, whist ambient LED roof lighting illuminates the space late into the evening.

This was a great project to kick off our SS20 photoshoots and we hope it has provided some inspiration and sparked your imagination. Take a closer look at this pergola installation and its smart features in our short video below.
