We’re Members of Family Business United

Caribbean Blinds are pleased to have become members of Family Business United (FBU), the award winning organisation that brings the family businesses community together.

With more than 6 million family firms in the UK, employing more than 12 million people, family businesses are at the heart of the UK economy. Founded by Paul Andrews, FBU champions family firms of all sizes, ages and sectors. Originally set up as an online magazine, FBU is now the global voice of family businesses, providing a valuable source of information along with hosting an array of events to help raise the profile and share insights into family firms.

As a second generation, family owned and run business with strong core family values, it was a natural step in our journey to be part of an innovative organisation that is passionate about and dedicated to family business, providing a valuable resource and most importantly a unified voice for the sector.

Earlier this year, we were shortlisted by FBU as finalists for the East and East Anglia Family Business of the Year which recognises and showcases the Best of British Family Firms. The online awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 25th June to see who is crowned winner in each region and who from the winners of each region will take the overall national title. There is also the ‘peoples choice award’ and there is still time to vote for us here.

To find out more about Caribbean Blinds, our history and core foundations the company are built on, please visit the ‘about – the company’ section on our website. Alternatively view our company profile on the FBU website where you can find out more about the work they do to support and raise awareness of family businesses in the UK and across the globe.
