Integrating The Outdoors With Indoors

The difference our Outdoor Living Pod makes

Another week gone by and another terrace transformed (this time in Watford) with the installation of our innovative Outdoor Living Pod. What is quite interesting about this install is how the client opted to mix and match the structure colour, choosing dark grey as the colour for the cross beams and posts (uprights) contrasting with a matt white roof to really set the structure off.

The benefit of having the white roof, especially in an application such as this where the Outdoor Living Pod is sitting against two parts of the house (and there are properties with extensions either side of this house) is it does not have a darkening ‘closing in’ effect that a darker coloured roof would and therefore does not deprive the property (and garden) of the feeling of light and space. And using a dark grey colour for the uprights (posts) which naturally get the dirtiest with dirt splashing up from the patio and residue from peoples hands leaning against the posts helps to hide & not visibly show the dirt like a lighter white or cream colour post would do.

We are noticing a growing trend in clients designing their Outdoor Living Pods with contrasting colour frames and roofs (louvers), to create an entirely bespoke outdoor living solution that is unlike any other. And as an added bonus we do not charge any more for the benefit of designing an entirely bespoke colour/finish Outdoor Living Pod.
